How to set up CallSwitch Communicator 6 Desktop App [Mac OS]

To set up the CallSwitch Communicator App on your Apple Mac OS follow the steps below:

1. Go to you emails and find an email that has been sent to you from your company and has a subject "{YOUR COMPANY'S NAME} account details". (For example "Amicus Networks - Subject: Amicus Networks account details")


2. Select it and scroll down until you find the "macOS" button. Click on it to download CallSwitch Communicator App.
IMPORTANT: You will need the "USERNAME", the "PASSWORD" and your "SERVER'S NAME" later on, so don't close your email after this step. (Example server name mt349.callswitch.net)



3. Wait for the download to complete.


4. After the file has been downloaded successfully go to your Downloads folder or the folder that you keep your downloads and double click on the .dmg file.


5. To install the app on your computer Drag'n'Drop CallSwitch.app on your Applications folder.


6. If you get this alert message click on "Open"


7. When CallSwitch Communicator App opens you will be greeted by this log in page. On the first field type in your email and on the second field type in your password that has been provided to you with the email that you received from your company (step 2). After typing your log in credentials click on the cog icon at the top right corner of the app and click on Login Options.




8. On the Login options window make sure the the "Use softphone" option is enabled and click on the "Advanced" tab.
NOTE: If you want to connect your CallSwitch Communicator with you Desk phone enable also the "Use deskphone" option.


9. On the Advanced tab in the "Login server" field type in the server that was provided to you from your organisation (Step 2). The server name is something like {mt OR cc}{numbers}.callswitch.net . Then click on "OK".


10. On your first Log In you will be asked to set up a new password. Your password must be at least 8 characters long, contain at least one number, one lowercase, one uppercase and one special character. (For example: q!643gNe). After setting up your password click on "OK" .


11. After following this procedure you will be greeted with CallSwitch Communicator's main window, and your app is ready to use.
